How the Hair Went Down, I Mean, CAME OFF

Enough with the green wig, right? Did she do it? Did Girlbert shave her head?
YES.
And nearly a week ago, at that. But then I went and got all sick with a broken immune system, and have been useless to edit video and write anything to do it justice. And you have to do something like shaving your head JUSTICE, am I right?
Because it's not everyday that somebody shaves her head BALD. Even Britney only did that once.
Extra special thanks and so much gratitude to the entire staff of the Hans Wolf Salon and Spa in Santa Barbara. Ryan is the man responsible for the Extreme Girlbert Makeover a couple of months ago, and he did the head-shaving honors, joyfully declaring, "I've always wanted to shave a woman's head!" So glad to be of service. And Colleen Elizabeth fixed up my eyebrows so that my face would be up to the challenge of pulling off BALD.
I finally get a good, clear view of my biopsy scar. Kinda Franken-like, just in time for Halloween, I guess.
And then my brother shaved his head, declaring, "I can't let you be the only bald Tomlin!" We've never looked so alike - obviously! Boyfriend, of course, shaves his head anyway, so I kinda feel like the hot, bald chick now. It helps that he tells me that every five minutes, of course...
My life is a fairy-tale.
If only I could click my ruby-slippered heels together and have each of my favorite bald men on either arm...

OH. My. God. This is my favorite post of yours ever. Let me count the ways! First of all, I can't think of anyone (Britney included) who looks more adorable with a completely bald head!!!!! You completely ROCK it, girl! Second, it warms my heart to see Boyfriend and hear how supportive of everything he's being. I would want nothing less for you! I stand in humble awe of your strength, courage, endurance and ability to bring joy and humor to those around you and to the situation at hand. You don't need me to tell you how easy it can be to get down or feel bitter, no matter how many blessings might be staring at us from around the corner of our obstacles. Seeing you on video, in addition to my typically just reading your words and seeing photos, makes me miss you so much. I really hope we can find a time to see one another!
And I was thinking that since you have two bald dudes to stand with you in solidarity, might it be nice to have a bald female out there too?????? ;)

I'm not at all surprised that you have a PERFECT head and look fabulous bald. I'm so glad you documented that experience so that you may one day look back on it and say, "Remember that dude with the tats that shaved my head? Wasn't that WILD?" I'm thinking of you, cute stuff, and sending lots of positive energy your way, although you have enough for you and everyone around you! XOXO

It's true.
Bald chicks ARE hot! I cut my hair really, really short once. Let me emphasize: REALLY short. I cannot explain to you how EMPOWERING it was. It made me feel tough and like I could just... conquer the world! Heehee! My mom started calling me G.I. Jane, but that only fueled my love of it. :-) I hope that shaving your head made you feel like you can conquer the world, too. If you ever have a weak moment, just remember how badass/hot you look--and remember the ARMY of people you have behind you, sweetheart!

I'm in tears. I can't stop CRYING! Not because I feel sorry for you. I'm so amazed by you. I'm so in awe of your upbeat, happy-go-lucky spirit. With your mask on, we couldn't SEE your smile, but we could feel it! Lisa, you are an inspiration to me.

And you do look hot bald, I must say. I mean, I knew you would look good, but just not how good. The eyebrows really rock, and I think that's what makes the whole look work. I think next step should be a pierced tongue.

Baldies Unite!
I was talking to M&D last night, and I asked Dad why he didn't shave his head, too. That was a fun reaction. :)
If you want all your favorite bald men either arm, then you need to grow a third arm for Phil!

You're all really sweet! I actually don't mind it at all, and it's kind of fun trying all the silly wigs and fun hats! Showering takes 5 minutes, not having to style hair is crazy...Boyfriend is over the moon!
