Jack LaLanne Power Juicer
People have been asking about my juicer and my diet. I did absolutely no research whatsoever prior to making this purchase, but I did purchase my Jack LaLanne's Power Juicer Deluxe from Costco for a totally do-able price of $89.99, in part because of the warehouse's excellent return policy. I'll admit that the decision was made on somewhat of a whim, but I've had no regrets. Fairly easy to use and clean, it juices the snot out of everything we've put through it, with the exception of wheatgrass. (Wheatgrass juicer purchase soon to follow!)
The Deluxe version that I purchased comes with a juicing guide and cookbook, cleaning tools and pulp catching container.
And about my diet - I'm eating about 80% raw foods. Lots of salads, juice, nuts, seeds, with some legumes, eggs, seared or baked fish, brown rice and quinoa for a little more protein and substance. I've been juicing about 60-70% of everything I've put into my body since we brought the Power Juicer home. So the raw food diet balances having to clean the juicer - much less cooking and cleaning up dirty pots and pans and dishes!
