Mendocino Farms Sandwich Market

The sign pretty much says it all.

I came across this shop in Marina del Rey last month while Boyfriend sailed.  I love sandwiches, but try not to induldge myself with all the bread too often.  But this little market uses (mostly) local ingredients, so indulge I did!  

Seeing as how my greatest weakness is a good tuna melt, I had to try the Fort "We Should" Bragg Melt, and I was not disappointed. The chili aioli and smoked gouda made it a zippy take on an old-fashioned fave!

I went back the next day and brought two vegetarian friends, this time ordering the Drunk'n Goat in Paris with goat cheese, cranberry chutney, green apple, baby greens and French brie on hazelnut bread.  My friends and I were more than happily satisfied (and stuffed!) with our vegetarian selections.

Beside the enormous selection of sandwiches for every taste (and diet type, including vegan) you can customize all you like, with a large selection of cheeses and artisan breads.  You can also sample their side dishes for FREE.
